Bolt's and Powell's times from trials are clean times for them.
Blake's is not, for him.
It's not Blake's body that's the giveaway, it's what he does with it. Blake, 9.75 (+1.1)? Yeah, right. Not to mention that he will go faster.
I don't for a second believe that he has any different CNS or fiber composition from any other elite 100m sprinter, yet here he now is, at 9.80 adjusted.
There is no chance whatsoever that Blake is clean, just as there was no chance that Carter was clean. I think all the Jamaican men are cleaned up this year, except for Blake--and if Blake is cleaned up as well, then he is experiencing lasting effects of the mega-dosing he did last year and/or in the offseason.
The good news for Jamaica is that, with all the big guns except Blake looking clean this year, both Powell and Bolt still basically stand at the top, even with or slightly better than Gay and Gatlin.
If Bolt gets a start, he will win. If Powell finds any kind of finish, he will get silver, and gold if Bolt misses his start. (I exclude Blake from any such conversation, because if he keeps doing what he is doing, he will cruise to a crushing victory, in a time you would not believe possible.)
For Jamaica to produce 2 of the very best, at the same time, in a cleaned-up environment, is absolutely amazing. Oh, plus, if Ashmeade were doing the 100m, I think that he could get to 9.90 adjusted, cleanly this year.
With the exception of Blake, I think that this will be the fastest clean Olympic final ever, possibly even faster than 1996 in Atlanta, where I think there was a decent shot of the medalists all having been clean.
