The guy has such talent and raw speed but he is sometimes unpredictable and races funny (i.e. hangs in the back too long, drops an insane last lap, but doesnt catch the winners because of how far back he was) Does anybody else think he is either gonna win the trials or not qualify at all?

OP is saying that he's either going to be smart and stay close enough to blow away the field, or he's going to hang back too long and not even be in contention.
i don't think he has the fitness or hubris to be top 3 1500.
he's too young.
and wheating lacks the in-race smarts to pull it off in the 1500.
I know 2 spots are taken. Manzano is a freakin animal, no way he's not going to London. And Centro showed tonight that he's ready to roll. He gets that turnover going and just walks away from people.
I think he will either get 2nd or 3rd.
It's too early to count Robby Andrews out.
I expect him to make the team.
The final is a monster...even if it was a match race of just

Centrowitz
Andrews and
Jordan Mac.
With Leer and Manzo.
This final has the potential to be a monster...

That's probably what it is going to be.

I'm jacked up for that race like everyone else.

The thing is, he only has to beat 2 of the 4: Torrence, See, Manzano, and Centrowitz.
Most likely this means he has to beat both David Torrence and Jeff See, wherever they finish.
I have to admit this final holds much in the way of intrigue, and Andrews is the wildcard. Will he make the mature moves to get himself into position for his kick, or will he pull a "Coe" and leave it too far back?
Or maybe he'll shock us all and lead the dern thing from start to finish ....
Actually, you figure he's not going to finish below top 5. So he's eliminating 40% of the prob. spots. Still not going out on a limb, but not bad.

Jordan Mac and Leer are footnotes, unless they get in an A standard guy's way. That would actually be a compelling story.

So you're saying that a slow pace favors people with the fastest 1500m times, except for Manzano, who has run a1:44.
Does a fast pace favor the people that are slower at 1500m?
Maybe McNamara can pull away from tose guys if the pace is fast.

Who has the A standard? There's gotta be some guys in this race who are willing to get out there for the first 800 to set up a fast time. Some guys are very close and the weather has been fine for distance races.
Half the field needs the A-standard or they don't get to go to London regardless. That being said, I guarantee they're no faster than 2 at 800. Same scenario existedin the 5000 and Bethke is only person to help Trafeh out at all.

You would indeed think that these guys could get organized. In the 1500, I think that all 6 that don't have the standard probably believe that they can (maybe not Mickowski, but who knows).
You would think that they could agree to the following
Mickowski takes first 300 (gives time for guys to get organized behind him)
Bayer takes next 200
Batty the next 200
Miller the next 200
Leer the next 200
McNamara the next 100
(based on seed time from slower to faster)
Single file in that order, everybody on the rail. Move out to the back after your stint (well the first 3 at least)
Everybody on their own in the last 300
We have never seen more than 1 or 2 guys organizing themselves (and it never worked)

If the first 300 is covered any slower than 44, then the chances of a sub 3:35.5 race is 0%.
