Centro, Andrews, Merber... BOOM!
No idea why it redirects to the main page!
Brief rundown:
Centro, Torrence in Heat 1
Leer, Acosta, Fernandez in Heat 2
Manzano, Wheating in Heat 3
On the womens side
Simpson, Rowbury in Heat 1
Uceny, Anderson, Mackey Heat 2
Pierce, Schmidt, Hasay in Heat 3
Heat 2 is the weakest.
Andrews should easily make the finals. Saving energy.
Even German could qualify.
Favorites all spread out- makes for a reasonably clear path to the next round
Without regurgitating everyone's favorites, let me throw these two out there:
Merber - raced well ~one month ago so he's got some "momentum" for what it's worth (Andrews fits into this category as well) and might have another gear/level in him at this distance.
Leer - hit or miss, more often miss. is he due?
who got lucky and filled in for Webb?
How many get through the first round? Both Q and q?
Uh what about andrews in heat two and brown in heat three?

How the hell do you leave Robby Andrews and his 3:34 in heat 2 off your brief rundown?
And how the hell do you leave Russell Brown and his 3:34 in heat 3 off your brief rundown?
IMO those two are locks for the final (not the team, the final).
I believe there are 7 athletes in the 1500m that have the Olympic A standard:
Matt Centrowitz
Andrew Wheating
Leo Manzano
David Torrence
Russell Brown
Robby Andrews
Jess See
Kyle Merber is less than a half second off as well.

How do #1 + 2 and 4 of top 8 end up in same heat?.

The seed time has to be from this year. They can enter using a qualifying time from last year but this is not the basis for the heats.
Leer is more often miss then hit?? He has placed in the top 5 for the last 5 years at the US Championships... who else can say that? He is coming on strong and don't be surprised by another top 5 finish.

0.09 is in fact less than 1/2 a second
3:35.59
It seems he has strong support on the boards-
Because he's Ivy?
Because he was a Dyestat posting rat?
Because they think he can?
Guessing they'll pick 6 with 6 shortest times moving on to two 12 person semis for pick 5 two shortest to final
Heat 2 is stacked.......look for Miles Batty to surprise people with his kick.
So Webb did scratch. Man of his word.

Honestly, I don't know what this means.
