Nope. Diamond League Oslo in 2010 and USA Champs 5K last year are probably the closest he's come to losing, both to Solinsky I believe.
Nope, Lagat is 33-0 vs. Americans (incl. heats)
NCAAs

I guess that Rupp will continue his 0-fer streak against Lagat...
1998 NCAAs, puleeze.
If you count heats, yeah. Otherwise I don't think so.
Did he lose to Adam Goucher during college??
Do you mean since he's been an American?
He has never gone up against an American comming off
a fresh 12:58 before.
I assume he did in college.
He was an outstanding college runner but his college performances would not lead one to believe he would turn out to be an all time great. I think Goucher used to beat him in college
He will lose to Lomong in the final this week. Bet on that one. Mark my words - Lomong wins the 5k this week in a monster closing 200m.
Order of the results:
Lagat
Rupp
Lomong/Bumby

In fact, he has. Solinsky and Tegenkamp.
This is going to be a great race. The miler-types against the 10,000 type meet in the middle. It seems like Rupp should try a long drive, but can he drop Lagat? Can Lagat necessarily outkick Rupp (who's hanging right with Farah in recent kicks)? And what will Lomong do?
What a battle.

Just lost to Lomong.
Funny thing is he's not an American either!

He went against an American who ran 12:56 in 2010...and Lagat ran 12:54 in the same race.
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
