There is a meet going down in San Diego with Morgan Uceny pacing and Anna Pierce going for the A, 4:06.00. Shelia Reid and Lucy van Dalen are in it with van Dalen needing 4:07.00.
Also a host of Canadians are going for A as well, such as Kate Van Buskirk. A mini Canadian trials one might say.
Anyone have any info, results, even the name of the meet.

How about the when for the meet?

Think it is going on at the moment. Assume the 15 is sometime soon.
I'm just surprised there s zero coverage of what may be one of the fastest 1500s in the US this season with last years World number 1, a sub 4 girl and two college standouts. (granted the trials are starting tomorrow)
Also, amazing Pierce is going for the A this late, will it effect her trials -
I think the meet is part of the '2012 San Diego Summer Nights Track & Field Series'

"Summer Nights #2: An invitational women's 1500m race has been added to the Summers Nights #2 meet at Mesa College on June 20. For more information on the event, contact meet director Thom Hunt." -
Bernie Montoya should make the effort and enter this race and break four I'm sure that would please Mr. Hunt very much?
-
I think the race is scheduled to start at 8:25. The weather should be perfect, mid sixties, no wind.
-
I just went to the Cibola High School website and popped a heads up to Bernie's coach about this golden opportunity.
Oh well. -
Pierce 4:04
van Dalen 4:05
Fast race. I think there were three A's. Sorry don't know the third person -
someone has got to have more details??? Canadians?

Personally i think this is fantastic execution and no it should not effect her (in a negative way at least). The 1500 trials aren't until the 28th, so 8 days should nto be an issue, and the first round "should" not be an issue, so really she has even more time until the final. If anything this is a great tune up race, and i'd rather see her getting the A standard now, then getting it in April ahead of time. She's only run under 4:06 twice since 2009, both in 2010 and neither under 4:04. If she's going to be competitive at the olympics she needs to plan this year perfectly. Her hitting the A stanard on June 20th is a good sign of getting into the right shape at the right time. She now has 1.5 months to fine tune and get back to sub 4 shape. She probably could have gone a bit faster today, but the plan was surely only to go after the A standard and not risk anything. -
Uceny? Reid?
-
Outstanding ! Does anyone have a link to full results?
-
Van Dalen's result + indoors 4:28 leads me to believe that Flood is in at least 4:05 shape.
-
any place to get full results, or can someone tweet deeper results? (e.g. Kate van Buskirk, Sheila Reid, Malini Elmore,)....what were the splits? How far did Uncey rabbit?

Remember this is just a local allcomers meet in SoCal resally, part of a summer series in San Diego. It's not Mt Sac or Penn. They will get results up here:

But it might take a couple or few days. -

That's a fantastic run for Nicole Sifuentes(formerly Edwards). That's a 2 second pr for her to get the A standard, which is basically all she's done all year with prs at 3000i, 800i, 800, 600i, 1500i, and now 1500 outdoors. She looks like she's coming into her own after her first year ever not improving in the 1500 last year. -
Must be immensely frustrating for Sheila to run three consecutive PRs, two consecutive B standards and still not get there.
