are you sure they have the right Gabe Jennings? Sounds like a more mature grown up in some sentences... sad to see Gabe get beaten by the man in a way.
Thanks for the link. I remember watching him and Stember go 1-2 at NCAAs in 2000. He seems like a really cool guy; too bad he couldn't have gone 3:2x back in the day - it would have been awesome if that crazy hippie had been the one who brought American running back!
Can anyone find a link or post the 2000 US Olympic Trials 1500m? I'd love to see it. I don't seem to be able to find it.
so sad to hear, he's turned into a Republican.
He cares about the enviroment, foreign relations and people in general, oh yea definitely a republican.
what a fag.

If someone has it recorded, can you please post it to youtube?
My question is, what is with his right arm hair? Check out that first picture.
"Those were some good marks, but I never got back to 2000 form. I don’t regret anything and I don’t necessarily think it is over yet. Once the Achilles heals, I might give it another go, at 800 meters."
Rut roh!
ultimately, if you live like neal cassady, it's just a self-indulgent waste.
I thought it was a great read. The thing I'm stunned with is as much publicity that guy generated he only made $20k per year from Nike.
Unbelievable.
Chris Lukezic should give back some of his money and it should be forwarded to Jennings.
How much did lukezic get jojo?
What a great read. Gabe has always been one of my favorite runners because of his free spirited nature. His trip to South America on a bike should be turned into a novel. He continues to inspire.

So . . . I'm guessing Neal Cassady was a lawyer who ran in the Olympics in his youth?

Hey, thanks for telling us how to live our lives, we really needed your input.

No...that's another Cassidy.
gabe said it himself; living raw, rough, and in the moment wasn't good for his running development.
he had some noteworthy hippy adventures but, in the end, it all harmed his longevity as an elite runner.

Robert: why hate on Lukezic? If someone is offering you money to do what you love, would you not take it? I bet that at the time, Gabe was stoked to be getting paid. Lukezic, a few years later, was just smarter and faster.
