what is the deal with this coverage!!!!!!!!!!!!!
during the womens 5000m, over half of the coverage was replayed events.
the same could be said for other events.
they have one chance to get it right and they mess it up.
such amateur errors.
why not play the highlights between events where there is time??!!!!!!???
honestly.
ESPN- YOU ARE THE WORST!!!

They are still clueless about the implications of the men's 4x400. Didn't bother to show team scores and how Florida just nipped out LSU by 2 points. No wonder no one cares about Track.
-
Given that they were jogging the 5000, I was happy they cut away. Yawnfest.
-
who da fu/ck cares about some ncaa women running 5000m...... i only watch last 2-3 .laps of womens 5000m/10000m at the Olys or world champs. the other part of the race is boooooring as sh*t!
-
LOL they didn't have the right men's scores up when showing the final results.
-
And no one cares to watch people standing around on the blocks of a 100 meters for 10 minutes, while they all talk to Jesus in the sky and shake their feet about, but they show that crap every meet.
-
i just put it on mute and watched Holland-Denmark

Larry (5th grade chemist), Dwight, and Jill are so stoopid that they think a reading on a conventional bimetallic-strip coil thermometer placed in the sun has some relevance (it does not).
They will never quit marveling that such a thermometer placed in the sun might read over 100 degrees when the air temp. is only 80. It means nothing. Zip, zilch, nada.
You are welcome. -

No doubt, I thought the only reason they ran the W5000 at that point was so they recap the rest of the meet till there was 300 meters left and the racing began. -
it is absurd how bad it ALWAYS is ...
two things that really pissed me off:
1- cabral made 2 big moves in the steeple final, and ESPN managed to be showing something else EACH time. "we come back to steeple, and oh, wow, gee shucks, this Princeton kid took the lead". unreal.
2- while showing the highlights of the long jump and triple jump, trying to put the jumps into perspective for non track fans by comparing the jumps to the distance b/w home plate and the pitcher's mound. "folks, lets not forget, he just jumped ninety percent of the distance from home to the mound in just 3 steps!!" ... not only is that a ridiculous comparison, do those clowns really think that is going to be of interest to the casual sports fan?
i can see it now: my nontrack friends getting amped for London 2012 triple jump finals... "guys shutup! Taylor is up.. he is going for 96.7% of the distance to home... he might reach the batter's box!" -
ok so you dont want to watch womens 5k, but instead you want to watch womens triple jump and mens shot put highlights for the second time????
its not a jab at these other events but my point is the timing of when to show these highlights. -
you're right!!!! my mother always said, "if you're not going to do it right, don't do it at all." ESPN shouldn't even cover the T&F Championships. Let people just read about it on LR, or watch the videos on Youtube. America doesn't need to know about their up and coming stars, just like I don't watch the Collegiate Softball World Series. (okay, that last statement was more fact than sarcasm).
