She would have won it if she hadn't got boxed in and had to come from so far behind.

Wrong it was horribly windy out, Hasay is light as a feather. Much like the bigger stronger Reid edged her out in XC, the bigger stronger Flood beat her into the wind down the stretch.
I think she would have won if she had run faster, but we'll never know!
a sound explanation....a head wind can be brutal
She definitely ran a lot of extra ground in the last 200 meters. But I agree, Flood is just stronger and more powerful that last 100 meters. I thought Hasay was clearly second, though. A game performance by her and she has great things coming at 5k this summer.
Oh thats BS , poor tactics , poor coaching by Vin once again.
He just cannot get the formula right.
It's over guys. Katie won on her home track in front of her home crowd. Give her some credit.

Yeah classic shoulda woulda coulda. Come on. Any one of the top 5 could have won if only one little element had been different.
Why do some people always feel compelled to offer an excuse when J.H. loses?
Is she up for that Pre Award?
Lets all be serious, if Reid was healthy and running the 1500 she would have beaten them by 5 seconds.

Love it!
I think Jordan might have won if she got a hair cut.
Not according to that 5k. Reid died and finished 10th in 16:31 in the 5K ... OUCH!

Key words being "if she was healthy"...
The wind was not blowing on Katie. It was only blowing on everyone else! Katie was really lucky in this race that the wind was not blowing on her. Katie incredible is all I can say...CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!!!
Great run by the hometown heroine. It was the emotional highlight of the meet - would have made a good Oprah show if that was still running.
Jordan Hassay, though, remains too cute for words.

Yup!!
Jordan is fun and exciting to watch. She has done so much for women's running and has been a role model for many youngsters. Nike probably can't wait until she graduates.
I'd like to see the photo of the finish line I thought she got 2nd.
Learn to read, runners like Reid and Flood are way more powerful and can power thru the wind. No one is saying she didn't win, chill out, move on fanboy, Katie still isn't going out with you.
