wow man
Sounds plausible.
America's team.
So, you think Symmonds will get distracted by his hoped for trials date?
You're off your rocker. Symmonds, Wheating, and even Khadevis was finishing strong at the Pre Classic, thatis the team.
Primm is sandbagging but will win the OTs. We'll see about Jock and Martin who are certainly fan favorites.
whites win!
It will be Symmonds, Greer and Wheating. Jock, Martin and Primm all come from those So Cal stables that know how to run fast, but can't win the big races.
Andrews will take Gold in London. L.A. wins 1/2 the medals at most Olys so we'll see Jock at least win Silver or Bronze I think.
So Jock's performance tonight inspired you enough to feel he'll make the Olympic squad, but Martin's lackluster race didn't give you reason to pause on his selection? Interesting.

This is a textbook example of a LLR fan's real knowledge of track and field. It's embarassing to real track fans.
Or perhaps it's a troll that got you to take the bait? Anyway, the only NCAA runner I give a better than 50% shot is Jock. Symmonds is a virtual lock. Wheating, Andrews or some other experienced pro will fill out the 3. Would love to see Jock take that next step. But in the end in London it's not gonna matter as we will get smoked by Rudisha and the Africans as we always do. I am not hating, just stating fact.

Primm is injured. Martin wasn't even top 3 at NCAA's. Jock has a good chance, but certainly isn't a lock.
Troll.
We haven't seen Martin run well in rounds at the top level yet. He ran just behind Jock at 1:44.7 earlier this year, so he has the talent to do it, but he's been an also ran at ncaa. Jock's style means that he will be a contender for the win in every American race, whereas Andrews will be way out of it well into the second lap, hoping to outkick the whole field enough to make it at the last second into the top three. He will have a shot to do that. 1:45.05 was big improvement from what he'd run earlier this year, so he's clearly coming around and he's a lock for the 1500m team, but Symmonds can run sub 1:44 right now and KD is already at 1:44 mid and is always in position to qualify. My team right now is Symmonds, Jock, and KD. Of course, we'd all like to see some very high upside guys qualify (Jock, Andrews, Wheating, maybe Loxsom, Martin, and Greer, who knows?), people with the hope of running 1:42 in the next few years.
Symmonds and Jock...not sure about the 3rd person.
Robbie Andrews knows only one way to run an 800, aka from the back. That's not going to cut it in the big leagues.
The 1500 is probably his best bet to make the US team.
