So what are the rules on staying in your lane in the 100? If you watch the video on the homepage at 2:00+ of the 100m, Powell clearly steps out of his lane to the inside 2-4 steps during the first 25m or so.

Is there a rule against this? Is there only a DQ if he impedes another runner?

Yes...on a straight race that's the rule...he didn't impede Kim Collins.

And note that he ran more than 100mts!! probably 102mts.
