Could be very interesting to see what the Ethipoians do over 800/1500 in the next few years. They've never taken these events too serious but a lot of Ethiopian speed demons popping up these days.
Women's 800 NR tonight too!
Aman bursting onto the scene..
Gebremedhin 3:31 this year is 2nd fastest Ethopian of all time in 1500m. Bekele I think is 4th?
Question - will these super women be able to sustain such fast times for the next 2.5 months?
I'm just wondering if they will still have it in them when the Olympics roll around.
"super" women...hmm...
Well I made the prediction that she would do this. She Ia the smoothest 1500 runner and trains in sweeden.. ideal. Imagine what ethiopians can do with proper training

if it were up to me that little dibaba would have it in her when the olympics roll around if you know what im sayin! damn she fine.
Uceny looked very fit. These Ethiopians are definetly on something. She wanna do likewise to keep up.
It looks like the w. 1500 is finally being dragged out of the doldrums that its been lying in the past few years. There's no reason for a sub-4 to be as hard as some of these women have been making it look recently. You'd be fooled for thinking its the equivilent of a sub 3:30 for men - it isn't.
It was always clear that once the Africans started taking the event seriously we'd start seeing the 3:55 barrier being approached again. It's about time as the 1500 has been lagging behind the 5000 for along, long time.
A great day for women's middle distance!
You mean once people started doping again we'd start seeing ~3:55s again.
I hate to break it to you - but this chick is dirty as sin.
ooooooooh i hope dibaba is dirty and sinful.
-- 3:56.54 --
17th fastest women of all time
28th fastest performance of all-time.
fastest performance since 2006 - although Jamal ran 3:56.55 in 2009.
