Watched this guy run some workouts with the oregon team since his arrival and also the 1000m today. He ran 2.24, with a 26 last 200, smooth as they get, tall guy, also running wide.
I can now see why Vin recruited this guy, super rough diamond. I've been around the running scene for a while and I like to think I can spot something rare when I see it. Believe me, give this kid some time and he'll be something special. He's only just turned 18 at the moment.
And he is dating Alex Kosinski which is going to help is running a bit.
A smooth 26 in a 2:24 definitely one to watch for the future! Does he have the same stride as his dad who was probably the greatest specimen for the 800/1500 guy ever?

No f'ing way! Although i did creep on his facebook and it seems like he's the ladies man out there. What a boss. Sucks that he gets her though, id love to get it in with that... and Crossman too.

im from australia, and i can tell you that hes not actually that good, the last national title he won was in like 2006
So Ovett is already a stud with the ladies... apparently. Wait until he's a stud on the track also and he'll be knee deep.
I wonder if his old man was a ladies man?
As for the Australian who just posted, -can't you see that we're talking about how he's GOING to be very good. Look at the athlete, not the times/titles as a junior.

exactly, dont think he was hidden too deep. and what i was trying to say (which i didnt do very well) is say that he showed talent as a young athlete, but then that faded alot and hasnt been showing that potential since.
