I know you shouldn't wear out your sneakers but I now have a lot of running tshirts and shorts and like to wear them...even when I am not running.
Does this make me look like the "rookie" I am? I have been running for 6 months and still suck but I bought some nice Nike and Under Armour running clothes (look good...feel good...do good mentality works for me).
I wear golf shirts when I don't play golf.
As for running clothes, i only wear them for running. Not because of the image, I just prefer cotton over coolmax for everyday use.
Wear what you feel like, screw everyone else. The only thing you should be careful of is your running clothes can start to smell like death.
Wearing the clothes is fine. Just don't wear your "gear" if you have any.

I love wearing my running tights and short shorts to the store and stuff, i might get looks all the time, have no girlfriend, and spent most of my nights sitting on lets run by my self thinking about how much i wish I was Galen Rupp, but comfort is everything in my world, so i choose to wear my short sorts, running tights, and sometimes even bust out my old high school signet to relive the glory days.

Wearing running clothes for casual use is fine. There are some nice looking and fitting shirts and especially jackets. I would not recommend wearing your current active running clothes as casual clothes too. As a previous poster stated, no matter how clean they will not be fresh after awhile. Buy separate clothes to wear out and separate the actually sweat in.

I'm a high school wrestler and I wear my wrestling gear and tights when out shopping. Very comfy!
I think its cool. I wear my speed suit and gold Nikes to Target, then get some dinner at Outback. No one gives me a second glance. Not related, but have you noticed people like to let runners ahead of them in line at Target and Outback? Me too!
