Who qualifies?
I say webb, centro, lopez.

Centro, then leo, then it's a toss up
Centro, Andrews, Wheating, Lomong, Mannzano

I agree, but only if Leo's last race was a non-tactical race and his time was 3:50+ (1500m).
1. Lopez
2. Andrews
3. Centro
What is the pace? Is it 3:33 or 3:50?
If it is 3:50 then - Centro, Andrews, Lopez (with Leo being the wild card finishing anywhere between first and last)
If it is 3:33 then - Centro, Lopez, Wheating (with Leo being the wild card finishing anywhere between first and last)
btw, can anyone assert with evidence that Webb has run any 400M faster than 57 seconds in the past couple years? He must have at some point. But the more I watch him he just looks slow. Last night in that 1500M he looked like he had gas in the tank to kick in the final lap and was trying to do so. But it looked like that was as fast as he could go.
1/10
Excellent post. Thank you, but you'll probably be banned from LR if you make any more of these kinds of posts.
if 3:45+: andrews, lopez, centro
if 3:40-3:45: lopez, centro, then andrews
if 3:40-3:35: lopez, centro, then wheating
if 3:35-3:30: lopez, wheating, centro
if sub 3:30(lol): wheating, centro, lopez
assuming lopez doesn't run the 5k.
Uhhhhhhhh. Have you dumb ingrates ever hear of a man named Russel Brown?
The problem with this hypothetical is that it assumes that all those guys will be together with 400 to go.
Based on his previous races, Robby Andrews will be at the back, a few seconds off the pace.
He'll close well, probably faster than everyone else in the field, but he'll still come up short.
His tactics work against guys who he is clearly better than. Doesn't work on the elite stage.
D torr numba 1
den Webber
den maybe Former Green Mountain Camp Counselor Russel Brown
You guys suck even at sucking. wrote:

Russel Brown is good at hanging on at the end of a fast pace but has not really shown the ability to finish with the best.
Andrews won't even be in the race bud, he's focusing in his best event, the 800.

Matt Maldonado qualifies in 3rd place.
You can possibly add Nick Symmonds to that list...
So if it is a slow race count him in.

Will the other guys be smart enough to NOT let it be slow and tactical if Nick gets that far?
How many threads can we make about one topic? Read before you post. Jerks.
Lomong easily. Way too strong for the others.

Webb ran a 1:51 800m a while ago, so I can assert with confidence that he's run a 400 in under 57 seconds.
If Webb is with the pack with 400 to go, then he wins easily. Remember, he's got a 46 400 PR under his belt. The rest of them don't.
