How come nike makes a shoe endorsed with kennedies name.
Nothing for El G, Kipchoge, Bekele
Ok gotta go.. let me slap on my kennedies and dream about running a f'n 13:34...yeah, i know he ran 12:58 but so can a bum of the streets of kenya.

They have a couple of new shoes coming out related to El G. One is called the Air Zoom El G.
several thousand more reasonable causes exist out there, maybe focus your frustration on something less selfish.
Last time I checked Nike was an AMERICAN company thats major market is AMERICANS. Most Americans could care less about EL G, AL G or Any freakin G.
Dude I am waiting for the new Nike H-RONO, but don't know if out yet. It's a new shoe that can be worn in multiple events unlike all of these other shoes now on the market. Another upside to the shoe is the fact you can wear it into any bar without marking the floor after the meet.
like kc runner said, Nike is an American company. The average American runner will know more about Kennedy than any other foreign runners. It's more about marketing than about honoring great runners, not that the runners who have shoes named after them aren't great. But with Kennedy's name on them, people will relate more than if El G's name was on the shoe.
nike also has to pay royalties whenever it sells a shoe named eldoret, which is another reason the recent eldoret trainer had a name change. plus, Air Kipchoge is really hard to say. "hey man, can i try a size 10 Zoom Wainaina?" got it?
How many African young people buy distance spikes?
I thought that was a continent full of shoeless children jogging to and from school four trips a day about 40km every day? (I am kidding of course!)
Also, why don't they make a shoe for Ali G? He is British and they certainly could sell some over there.
Wait for it ... wait for it ... ZOOM Booo-Yaackuhshah
What do you think?
This has got to be the dumbest post I've seen on this site for the last year.... and that's saying a LOT

actually, nike is a multinational company that makes most of it's money OUTSIDE of the US where more people would appreciate an El G shoe. sure the US may account for the largest single market, but eventually china will claim that spot as with every other consumer product.
put together the millions of runners and fans of the sport in the European Union and you'll have a bigger market than in the US.
good thing you dont work for nike. your redneck wisdom would get you fired.

and another thing. it drives me crazy when people try to make a point and they dont use expressions properly. the proprer term is "could NOT care less."
