Geoffrey Mutai won a Kenya Prison's 10000m race today in a very respectable altitude time with a blazing kick. "Since I didn't make the marathon team, I have to focus on other things" Mutai was quoted as saying in his prepartion for the London Olympics.
Many of track fans have been waiting for Mutai to focus on the 10000m as he has been world ranked very high in the event despite training for the marathon. Now with the marathon not an option for the Olympics Mutai puts his focus on the 10000m, where many fans wait to see what the world's fastest marathoner 2:03:03 can do over 10000m!
Do you think Mr. Mutai who had 3 runs in one season at altitude that converts to sub 27 minutes can be a medal threat at 10000m?
