It would be interesting to see who's V02 Max is higher. I know Lance's has been measured but I don't recall what it was. Has Bekele's V02Max been tested?

Greg Lemond?s = 92.5 ml/kg.
Miguel Indurain?s = 88 ml/kg.
Lance Armstrong = 83.8 ml/kg.
Not sure what Bekele's V02 is. I would guess in the 80's.
More important is the power at threshold one achieves. Lance is a marvel. He produces very little lactic acid and that is probably the attribute that helps he most, physically. His other attribute is his drive to excell. He is simply one tough s.o.b. and that makes him darn near invincible. Finally, the man knows how to priortize. Others want to win every presitgious race. Lance focuses on just biggest race of all: Le Tour de France. Tinman
My grammar and spelling suck today, sorry folks. Tired from work today, I guess. tinman
And EPO, according to his team trainer.

But we could say the same for KB considering Hermens' and Kostre's background.
I would have to agree with Tinman. Lances Power-to-weight ratio is amazing.
Here are a few paragraphs that I read from article...
----------------------------------------------------------
Armstrong's strength is due in part to his loss of 8 kilograms (18 lbs) after chemotherapy, a regimen of powerful cancer-fighting drugs. The weight loss altered his weight-to-power ratio, or how much energy (measured in watts) Lance needs to pump into his pedals to move one kilogram of weight uphill.
To win, Lance has to generate 6 watts of power per kilogram. At a trim 68 kilograms (150 lbs), that adds up to 408 watts of power--enough to light a room! "A heavier rider needs to put out more watts than a lighter one,"
explains Coach Chris Carmichael. "If you added 18 pounds to Lance's frame, he'd finish 3 minutes, 47 seconds slower on the Alpe d'Huez climb."

He was trained in the 70's in the Eastern Block sports training system. And yes Kostre is clean, but his athletes are as dirty as they come.
what is kostre's background you stupid f*** he is a clean man. you don't even know his last name
