how does height affect running? i'm the shortest guy on my track team but my times are pretty good compared to the others. my 1600 is 5:21, my 800 is 2:21, and my 3200 is 11:28. i was wondering if i would be any better if i were taller?

Short people tend to live a bit longer.
I believe Halie G. was only about 5'5 and he held world records in some distance events. Height doesn't really mean anything
the taller you are the more likely you are to succeed.
Tall is considered handsome
handsome gets you more money and girls

Laban Rotich- 3:29 and likely not much over 5'. You have some catching up to do.
There's some study out there that says idea height for a runner for a man is like between 5'8" and 5'11". Anything above or below that the rate of running economy diminishes slightly...
May be the "idea height", but the average height of the top ten in any distance event is likely around 5'7"
