Seven years ago after two achillies injuries I almost left my running career to cycle instead. I realized that running on grass barefoot was the only thing that was comfortable, at the same time Nike was cming out with a new shoe the NIKE FREE, so I gave thema a shot. Since middel of 2005 I ahve been wearing Nike Free's exclusively and most importantly Injury Free and at the age of 42, running faster than when I was 34.
My probelm is Nike has been absolutely killing the shoe. First they came out with the Free+ which has a chip in it, so on one of the sole it does not flex properly, so that killed the 5.0 line. So I have been running in the 3.0 for the last few years. This is no problem but now they changed the shoe. The sole is fine but the insole is squishy, too squishy. Most inportantly the heel counter is too tigth when the shoes are tied which is creating issues with my achillies again because it does allow my lower legs to naturally roll.
Thanks alot Nike you are breaking my heart and about to lose a customer. I am probaly in the top 1% of length of time and mileage in Nike Free's feel free to contact me if you want design input. But i am sure you don't care.
