Best part of it is he beat the Benedict Arnold, Riley Masters.
Riley, How's the transfer to the big school working out for you?
Do you think Maine would take him back?
wow that really sucks. he ran 3:55 for the mile back in 2009. why is he running like an equivalent of 7-8 seconds SLOWER 3 years later?
he'll dnf at nationals (if he even makes them)
your mom would what make you think Maine wouldn't
He hasn't been able to build up a base because of the injuries, but his pure talent allows him to run times like these. Wait until he's able to build up a deep base, then we'll see what he really can do.
German needs to get the hell out of Stillwater asap. Smith has destroyed him. He would be a good fit in Salazar's group because of his injuries. He would have access to things like the alter G, under-water treadmill, cryosauna, massage therapists, psychologists. He should avoid schumacher who just runs his athletes into the ground.

How do you know from the above result that Masters was not in the race just as a rabbit?
It also looks like he beat Paulo Pinheiro (his nemesis) from Tulsa, who ran 3:46 himself (a PR?).

Southern Utah
Has Smith destroyed Farrell? Did he destroy Lowe, Kosgei, Vail? He knows that German is the kind of guy that if you take a long term approach, he should make a handful of Olympic and WC teams. You could certainly argue he is a greater talent than Centro, but not nearly as savvy a racer yet.
It will be interesting to see if any of the OK State guys from 2009-now form an elite group similar to the 2002-2006 Wisco guys.

I think that he lacks Centro's racing savvy, raw speed, and most importantly, ability to stay healthy. In his favor, I think he has a substantially better engine to go 5k or 10k. We'll never know really if he cannot stay healthy.
Here's to hoping for German's health.
Talking about Centro. Where is he? When is he racing next?

But not since he got to OSU.
That's what they said about Webb when he ran 3:43 and look what happened, he ran 3:38
