Let's say I'm a non-traditional-age student and I'm going back to get my Master's and I want to try to get on the track or XC team. Can I walk on to the team like any other student? I've never competed at the college level so I assume I have eligibility. Is there an age limit or just times I'd have to meet?
There are certainly limits to eligibility.
How old are you, have you have recieved money for racing and what is the program (NCAA div? etc).
You can't run DI, but for any other team, you're just another athlete.
Wouldn't his clock have started when he started his undergrad degree?
I'm not sure if you actually have eligibility. I believe your eligibility clock started running when you first started undergrad, even if you didn't compete.
