10x300/100m Rjog ~ 10x400/200m Rjog
10x300/100m Rjog ~ 10x400/200m Rjog
Depends on what you're training for, what system you're trying to work, and what pace you're running them at.
Are you a miler?
We need more background about you. How old are you, what are your best times?
I am old (45) never was super fast, 4:50 mile, 16:08 5k, 33:28 10k, 1:12:31 1/2 marathon, 2:33:02 Marathon. Trying to get fit again and I want to run a sub 17:30 5k, 36:00 10k, and sub 2:50 marathon. If I can get the sub 2:50 this fall that will make 4 decades of a sub 2:50. Current fitness is 18:05 5k, 36:48 10k, 3:00:00 marathon. Basic week is a long run(currently at 15 miles) a Threshold/tempo type run( 2-3 x 2 mile or 4 mile tempo @ 6 min pace, a hill workout where I run repeats on a hilly 1K loop(5 X 1k)w1:30 sec Recovery) then the track workout??? I know I need to work on leg turnover....I'm stuck in that 5:50-6:00 pace. I like 300s alot, with just having the one curve to deal with and the two straights..and jogging the 100m curve for a short recovery. The 400s/200m Rjog..I am running them slower and I have more recovery. Which one is the better workout considering my goals? oh yeah, I'm running the 300s averaging 58 sec-1 min, and a 30-40 sec Rjog...the 400s are averaging 1:22-23 with a 1 min to 1:20 sec Rjog. The rest of the week is filler recovery miles. Thanks for any input.
How about 10x300 on 2 minute go's. Ex: Run a 55 and you get 1:05 rest, then go again.
