It was a mile. But they also took 1500 FAT splits.

His superior in the army (French army just employ athletes so they can train full time) was once giving him trouble so he later went to his office & took a dump on his desk.

Pretty weird for - 3:52 mile. He looked back 7 times in the last 90m of the race and was not really driving to the tape... You have to figure that he was in PB land, so he should have maximized on it...

Miller and Bolas both ran 3:37.x for 1500 in college, so it's not a PR for the en route distance, but maybe for the mile...

HEY!! That isn't Nate Brennand of Columbia running 3:36 at 1500 en route!!

Nate Brennand is a frosh at Columbia that has a 4:14 mile PR. The guy splitting 3:36 en route was Nate Brannen the pro from Saucony. (Look at the final mile results).

But for now according to Direct Athletics, Freshman Nate Brennand is leading collegiate America in the 1500 at 3:36!! That converts to about a 21 second PR drop in one race and even more spectacular was the fact that he got in that hot heat with a PR of 4:14!
