Annnnd Katie Flood just destroyed a bunch of good pros and top collegiates with a 4:11 big negative split. She's back! Would've run faster with better pacing, if she didn't run in lane 2 most of the race, and if those girls hadn't stopped her from kicking farther out. REAL DEAL.

Too bad Katie looks to be following tradition at Washington. Great early freshman year followed by too early peak, injuries, burnout. How many NCAA outdoor championships has Katie Flood won?
Whoa there Downer Dawg. This is Flood's first season outdoors since her breakout. How many outdoor titles does Levins, D'Agostino or even Jock have? Sheeesh.

No offense but has Jordan even improved in the 1500 since she was 16 (2008)? If so NOT very much. At this rate she will be world class by the time she hits 40 - maybe.
I doubt Uceny and Rowbury are worried about or interested in what Jordan is doing, now even 4 years after making the trials final.
Heck, even crazy Julia Lucas can easily beat her now.

Katie had a great freshman XC season at the end of which she placed 78th at nationals. She had a then-breakout season in indoor's '10-'11, running 9:09 for 3,000 and qualifying for nats. In the fall of 'll she placed a much-improved 7th at XC nats. In early '12 she became a LetsRun-household name, with the fastest collegiate indoor times at both 3,000 (8:55) and the mile (4:28), and a dominating title in a highly competitive Distance Medley Relay. Mt. Sac was her outdoor debut of over 800 meters, and she won in dominating fashion while evidently (by her word) not feeling 100-percent, in a U.S.-leading 4:11.
What the hell evidence is there that she's peaked and gone astray?
better pacing? what does that mean? she ran 4;11 in the race and that was really good. if the pace isn't there she needs to move to the front and set it herself.
hasey improvements aren't not coming very much these days. a 4;15 is hardly world class

She needs the fabled 'pro-coach' whatever they are.
American women spend years in college running decent times before dropping a 4 flat within a year of graduating and joining this new group.
It's very interesting.
As long as Vin needs points he will keep over racing her with the pressure of helping the team win. I think we will see Jordan jump with improvement once she gets away from the college scene.
Trials will be hard for her given the level US women are running at now.

Nice to see you noticed.
This is an uninformed comment from "tired and run down".
You say Vin uses her too much and races her too often? Do you realize that we are about halfway thru the collegiate outdoor season and yesterday was her first race of the season?
I'd hardly call that over racing. In fact I'd call it handling her with kid gloves with the Trials looming. She may not even run 1500 at the Trials. My bet is 5K and this was just speedwork.

This. Jordan really hasn't progressed much despite the fanboy hype and while a steady performer, she just never amazes. My money is not on her being the future of American distance running.
Def a 5ker! She need to have a huge jump down to even compete at the Oly Trials there though. Would of been nice to see her in that 15:23 group at MT SAC. Not sure if Hasey could honestly run that fast currently
If she is truly preparing for the 5000m and she runs in the 15:10-15:15 range at Payton Jordan then she will be on schedule to perhaps do something special by Summer.

1) 4:15 doesn't suck for her first meet of the outdoor season.
2) She's two months away from the trials.
3) Let her f'cking run.
Jordan Hasay is going to take a PISS on you naysayers. Best there is, best there ever was, best there ever will be. AND YOU CAN TAKE THAT TO THE BANK SISTER!
It is going to be a "mother breather" race between Hasay and Flood at PAC 12's in Eugene. Are you kidding me? In Eugene with the crowd cheering on Jordan! I can't wait!
