Hard to believe a race could give $110,000 to the winner and hardly anyone would know it.

Impressive course record for Alemitu Abera. Maybe Atsede Habtamu line up for London Marathon because she face Paula Radcliffe in Berlin.
-
London Marathon is world record course. Doesn't Atsede Habtamu (Daegu winner last year) want to run London especially that she lost to Paula Radcliffe. Habtamu still could run London and then take a rest for 5 months to Berlin Germany Marathon.
-
Atsede Habtamu must be inspired by Paula. I think she's the 1 ethiopian that face Paula. NO other ethiopians line up for Berlin 2011. She looks disappointed losing to Paula 2:24:25 to 2:23:46. But she was ahead was 18 secs at some point in 35km.
-
Paula Radcliffe is beatable. She didn't win Berlin Marathon with a weak field. She got to face more stronger elite runners than just 2 in Berlin. Paula should face 10 or more elite runners.

I knew it. I was there.
It was a great performance, but crowd support at the finish was dismal.
Not 20 minutes before there were some 10,000 people finishing up the 10k yet when Kemboi came through for the win there were probably less than 200 of us lining the fence at the finish line (which was 2 meters away from the 10k finish line.
I was disappointed. Could have been such a huge crowd at the finish to cheer on a brilliant run, but everyone was too busy scarfing down their free dukboki. -
I was bummed Deriba Merga didn't show up. I got the race book and he was number 2 and I got all excited. Then come race day he's a no show.
Wonder what happened.
