I did pay 499 but I made 700 the first month. I only paid for one year and have never heard about a cancelation fee and never had to pay one, that was over a year ago. There is a fee to renew every year but I chose not to.

Honestly, I can't say I ever liked or wanted to do that. But I would shovel poop for 12 hours a day for 3 years if I would get paid a half a mil/ year without ever working again. We haven't been to any meetings in more than 6 months now. It provides a stunning piece of mind.
What a chump. Now me, I've got a hot lead on some easy money. Sitting in my inbox this morning is an email that says "I NEED YOUR HELP TO TRANSFER US$9 MILLION, PLEASE SEE ATTACHED FOR DETAILS." Some guys are just lucky I guess.

Hahahaha troll.
Yes, an MD quits being a doctor so he can attend quarterly "training events" and sell this shtick to people in hotel rooms. I bet you did this.
my thoughts exactly. That "doctor" actually has his PhD is BullShitting. No chance.
I almost got hooked into that Steed thing too. I was job hunting and went to a shoe store to see about a manager position. I knew that things weren't going to go right when a customer took his shoes off and it was like somebody died in there.
The manager took me into his office and told me about the position, but it wasn't too long before he described a money-making presentation that was going to be held at a nearby Holiday Inn that evening and he wanted me to attend. He had terrible halitosis that felt like he was sticking two hot pokers into my nostrils.
About 5 or 6 people showed up for the presentation and the Steed products were shown and the details of the scheme were explained. We were told that there was going to be a bigger presentation that was going to be held in the grand ballroom that Saturday where we would meet the officers of the company.
Saturday arrived and it sure was a big deal. There was even a dance band! This was the mid 70s and all the officers were dressed in the flashy fashion of that period. The spiel was made and I was just about ready to join up. My friend the shoe store guy was pressuring me to sign right away but I told him that I "wanted to think about it". He tried to talk me into accepting but I insisted and a few days later I called him up and declined. He gave me a real long silence and I hung up.
They should probably teach kids how to identify and avoid this shit in high school...
Life is a pyramid scheme.
I and probably most people can smell those MLM idiots a mile away. The key is to NOT say "yes" to any of their silly questions ... "don't you want to make more money?" "Nope", "would you like to be your own boss?" "Nope", "don't you like free stuff?" "Nope", "Will you at least think about it?" "Nope", "would you like to bang my wife, no strings attached?", "Nope, uhh wait a minute ... what's she look like?" BANG! They gotcha.
Throwing around the residual income buzzword these MLMs love to use eh?"We could never have had this lifestyle if we had to work every week."You're an MD? Scary. You want to be lazy and not work for your money? Personally, I'll see a Dr that isn't in it for money. An MD that pushes MLM to everyone ESPECIALLY to patients is awful. That's like the Dr. that left surgery to cash a check. If he wasn't in it for the money only, he wouldn't have been fired.Bottom line, doctors should concentrate 100% on their JOB. That's what they are paid very well to do.
That guy was just misunderstanding what word of mouth advertising is all about. He got some bad advice, and was following it.
Best way to do any MLM program is to share the concept with friends and let them decide for themselves if they want any follow-up information.
Bug them to death, and you lose a friend.
I've lost several friends to MLM. One guy was a close friend, but would not drop the MLM vitamin thing. He was almost brainwashed. I wonder if he realizes the harmful nature of his "financial" freedom pursuit.
Also, these MLM people hang out at colleges. The uncertainty of graduating without a job lined up makes you a prime target.
MLMs == scum of the earth.
