Are these too light and unstable of a shoe to marathon in? We're talking low 2:30 pace.

My first marathon was in the paranhas, my second was in the wave universe. If you train in flats it shouldn't be an issue.
i have the piranhas, and i love them for 5k road races. they\\\'re super light and i feel like i\\\'m flying with them on, but i wouldn\\\'t recommend them for marathons, or longer races in general. they\\\'re definitely too minimal in my opinion, and i would think you would be better off wearing a shoe with a little more cushion and stability to handle the marathon distance.
I don't think you should have a problem. I have run halfs in them with no problem. And based on your estimated time, I suspect you run quite a bit more efficiently than me.
The important question before we answer, is "what do you train in?"
