WOW. Pretty unreal. Could they break the meet record at NCAAs for 4x4?

Not likely. Maybe a sub 3:04, not a sub 3:00.
Ummm... All that means is that, unlike most years, Arkansas might actually be able to compete in the SEC in the 4x4. I'm not one to pitch a tent over the SEC like many do, but I bet there are 4 or 5 other teams that have that many guys that can do that or better.
LSU
Florida
Texas A&M (next year?)
Georgia
Alabama
S. Carolina
Miss State
All these schools consistently mix it up around the same times (in the 4x4) that would require their guys to average 46.5 or better.
1 Arkansas 3:03.76
2 Mississippi St. 3:05.07
3 Penn State 3:05.22
4 Pittsburgh 3:05.35
5 LSU 3:05.41
6 Texas A&M 3:05.87
7 Ohio State 3:06.15
8 Minnesota 3:06.87
9 Georgia 3:06.97
10 Baylor 3:07.17
Wow, your thoughts must be so complex you can't think straight! Arkansas ran the 2nd fastest time EVER in the 4x400 this year at 3:03.76, just off the collegiate record of 3:03.51 set by Florida in 2005. Can't really fathom how you came to the conclusion that those times are run so easily by other schools. Better check the season...it's INDOORS...and four guys at 46.5 or under is pretty amazing by anyone's standards!

2 of them are white... idiot moronic pos
white = american???? ummmm, no........
At least one of them is blatantly breaking the rules by having an agent. I would think is just a matter of time until Arkansas gets an NCAA investigation

If you take all of their OPEN prs they are under 3:06. Take in to account they will likely run faster than their open times in a relay. I honestly think they could run sub 3:02, maybe even crack 3 if two of them completely blow it out.
Also, don't act like anyone can do this. They won't be touched assuming nothing goes wrong.
USC
Hughes, Nellum, Mance all sub 46
Wyatt: 49 low 400IH
Walker: Has split 45 low
This grouping hasn't won an NCAA title, let alone broken the collegiate record. Don't get ahead of yourself over in Arkansas. Florida, Texas A&M, Baylor will all probably beat you.
Well considering USC doesn't have a single guy ranked in the top 50 of the 400, they will probably have a hard time beating a team with 4 in the top 25. Get off your L.A. high horse.
They have the #1 time in the nation by a good margin. 4 guys at 46.57 or under in the open 400 is very impressive. LSU, Pitt and Texas A&M are the only teams with THREE guys in the top FIFTY!!!!!
I will kiss Malmos feet if Arkansas doesn't win the 4x4. Their PRs from INDOOR THIS SEASON combine to 3:05.36. Take a conservative .5 off of each for open to relay conversions, you've got yourself a 3:03.3.
Southern Cal didnt even make the 4x4 finals last outdoor season. You cant hype these guys because they really have underperformed as a unit. The 400 runners dropped some good times in the open and Wyatt is getting better. Nellum should be 100% this year. The issue is that these guys need to run peak times at the peak meets, not at duel, relay and NCAA regional meets. They ran 3:03 last year in early April. They need to run that in June.
This year at NCAA indoors Florida doesnt have a relay. Baylor doesnt have the guys at the moment. Mississippi is good but Tate is trying for the 200/400 double which is damn near impossible at the meet. He will have dead legs for the relay.
1 Henry, Tabarie SR-4 Texas A&M 44.83 LSU Outdoor Invitational 04/02/11 04/02/11
3 Pinder, Demetrius SR-4 Texas A&M 44.87 Big 12 Outdoor Track & Field Championships 05/13/11 05/16/11
9 Miller, Bryan SR-4 Texas A&M 45.49 Big 12 Outdoor Track & Field Championships 05/13/11 05/16/11

39 Roberts, Joey JR-3 Texas A&M 46.42 LSU Outdoor Invitational 04/02/11 04/02/11
A&M is going to be tough to beat outdoors - those times include outdoor - they have 2 sub-45 and another who should be soon.
True, A&M always has a pretty sick squad. Even so, there is no guarantee that all of those guys are going to return to last years form. They should, but there is never any guarantee. Arkansas is running really well right NOW.
BTW, are those 3 seniors from A&M returning for a 5th year?

Thats last years squad.
Only Roberts and Preble are on the squad now. Miller, Henry and Pinder are done.
Guess that answers my question. Arkansas will go undefeated indoors and out!!!
You heard it here first!!!
3:02 maybe, over the years there have been many better 4x4s on paper and they never went sub-3. Keeps in mind that guys are doing too many events at the NCAAs for each relay member to run up their potential in the relay.
True. I think outdoors if they put together a fresh 4x4 they will go sub 3 but not indoors. Although if they all only did the 4x4 indoors they could definitely challenge it.
Wooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo Pig Sooie!!!
