I am interested in what your largest improvement in any distance event that occured less than a month. Drug free, of course!
For me, I consistenly ran 16:00-16:10 5k's on the track in college. Then in one week, I ran 15:22 on the track. The only thing I did differently was I changed my racing flats. I doubt that was the only reason for the huge improvement, but that was the only thing I did differently.
