I run the 800m and my PR is 2:09. I couldn't run cross country because of a hamstring injury... began training in December again and got to 2:12 shape (mainly did 4-5 mile runs per day, 5 days a week to build up base, raced a few allcomers) before I sprained my ankle pretty badly a week ago. (i am suspecting it may even be a high ankle sprain - crutches for two days, am able to walk now with a little bit of pain).
My question is if there is any training I can do while my ankle heals to help me on my 800m? (weight room? upper body?) I really want to break 2 minutes by the end of season (in May)
Thanks a lot
