I was thinking of doing this next summer. I'm a 13:50 guy. I know I'm not fast enough to rabbit Bekele, but I figure there are a lot of races with 13:30 guys. I figure I could rabbit some 1500s, 3ks, 5ks, etc for the B level races. I'm not really looking to make money, more just make enough to fund a summer traveling around Europe. Would this be possible?
Do you have a record of doing a good job rabbiting races? Personally I wouldn't pay you as an unknown quantity.
Try to rabbit a meet in the USA first. Rabbit Stanford or Pre or something, or even ask to rabbit a college meet (I was at the Valentine Invitational and there was a rabbit who took the field through 800m in 2:00 for the first section of the mile). Just talk to a meet director or something, get some experience, and then head over to Europe
