Hope a video of this race turns up. This guy is one of my favourite runners.
"Out like Kszczot" in 2012!
This Adam Kczot man is giving the likes of Kaki and Rudisha sleepless nights! Imagine he is running those times indoors. What will he run outdoors? We can't wait to see him race either or both of them outdoors. World indoor title is his to lose. For Timothy Kiptum, it is a great start. This was only his second race outside Kenya, the first being at the world youth in Lille France where he finished third(1:44.98) behind Kosencha(1:44.08) and Muhammed Aman(1:44.68).
The consonant to vowel ratio is pretty high in his last name. How do you pronounce that?
Who is ADAM KSZCZOT?
You can watch his Düsseldorf race on youtube:

I thought (watching the live broadcast) that he looked a bit heavy on the third lap, but in the end he had a lot left. Now under 1:45! Hope he continues to improve...
sleepless nights? I hope you are joking

look at him at the beginning. he runs on pure hate.
He is a very powerful runner. I am impressed. Olympic 800's can be unpredictable. The final is simply hard to make. It is difficult to discern how well any of the top guys will hold up through the heats and race in a final. Thanks to Lets Run -- this guy will be interesting to track.
apart from rudy, the kenyans are bereft of 800 talent ( apart from that 1'44-flat youth )
rudy may have to go & win london with a solo mid/high 1'41 as i'm not sure he'll have any team-mates in the final to help him !!!
Yego may not be the fastest but he's always hanging around.
Shot in the US. maybe Shote in Europe.
Sounds like the Poles say Shtot.
He dropped the Kenyans like no one I've seen in a long time.

Video of the race is here
Superb. Let's hope he is no fluke like Sergio Sanchez.
"sz" is pronounced as "sh", and "cz" as "ch"
So the pronunciation should be "k-sh-ch-ot", pronounced as a one syllable word though. If it is too hard, try at least "kshot"
I hope he decides to run a 1500 outdoors. Dude could run 3:29 EASILY.
