WOW!!
WOW!!
lagat isnt american , he ran for kenya in the olympics, he tested positive for EPO too
Yes we get it. It was a good race. There's been 3 threads about this already.
You can give Lawi the NCAA title right now. Nobody's going to touch him.
Lawi is the real deal (as if we didn't already know that). Solid run from Derrick. In another era he would have had a lot of championships to his name.
Somebody get me a picture of Galen Rupp standing next to the clock after his ran his 13:11 so I can put an X over it and send it to the Brojos to put on the front page.
cool story
That was insane. Derrick runs an absolutely incredible race and is not even in the picture behind 2 other collegians. And oh yeah, the HS record is smashed. This era of distance running is insane.

Someone get the picture of Lagat standing next to the clock for his indoor 2 mile AR. I want to photoshop an X through it and send it to the Brojos
Nobody cares about 2 miles. USATF doesn't even list it in their list of records on their site.
That's odd. Remember when you recently wrote this:
"Over the last 2 years, Rupp has run 7:42, 7:43, and 7:54; and just ran 3:57. Those times are consistent with ~8:20 or worse, not sub-8:10."
It seems you care.
Not really, I just pointed out what he actually ran.
As I said, if anybody really cared about 2 miles, USATF would actually list the so-called record.
You keep pointing out how little you care about the distance. Over and over again. In multiple threads.
So if a guy runs 4:06 and then 4:03 during the same race (!) no one cares--is this really what you're saying? If so, you might want to join Jesse.

That performance was equal to about 7:32 for 3000m or 12:56 5000m.

Kenenisa Bekele cared enough about it to run an 8:04 world record a few years ago.
Looks like we will see a sub 13 CR this summer.
Let's get this straight. Tonight, we've seen NCAA athletes run:
7:43 3,000
7:44 3,000
13:08 5,000
13:13 5,000
13:19 5,000
13:19 5,000
...and the evening is not over...

Who is USATF?

Yeah... best single day of collegiate distance running in history?
