In that picture, why is Hicham wearing a completely different Nike uniform? Why isn't he wearing the same gray uniform as Bekele, Webb, and all the other Nike athletes?
Because he is El Guerrouj!!
Nike often make different unis for some of their athletes.
MJ is wearing a different one to the other females this year as well..
Look at the last OT in 2000 and you can see that both Green and Johnson had different unis as well.It's a common trend
El G has a lotta different uniforms, no need to give him a standard uniform. But I think Bekele should be able to get a custom uniform also, the top racers should
El G looks a little heavy in his stride. It will be interesting to watch him progress by the Olympics. In 2000, he started the season with a 3:33.48 in Seville.
Considering he's training for the double, I'd be shocked if he weren't heavy right now.
He has repeatedly stated that he is not changing his training for the double and will only continue to build up using his conventional 1500m training.

The uniform El G is wearing in that picture is when you could find in any team uniform tyle store. It is nikes standard uniform that most high school teams and college teams sport, or will be sporting when they replace their old nike uniforms.
