Is this possible for someone with zero distinguishing marks in his college XC career?
"Why am I so confident in my abilities? The day you find a runner that can do 15X100m in 11-12 sec each on 100m jog rest (negative splits), then I'll be scared. That how in control of my effort I was that day. That takes talent, you can't coach speed. The only other person I've ever even heard could do that was Sebastian Coe.....and he won the Olympics that year. I wasn't kidding when I said I've never met anyone who had more talent than me. Ever."
This is a verbatim FB quote. I've googled around and found some results. A 4K XC race in which he was third from last in 15:33.8. A mile street run in 5:36, and a long time ago a 4:3x street mile run. In 2004 he had a 13:32 4K at a cross country meet. He has been very vocal about making the olympics - I'd guess in the 1500.
Is he bullshitting on that workout up there or what? I think this dude is in his 30s.
