Actually a 20.99...indoors!

They mentioned another local guy who moved down from the 800 to run 45.x/20.X. Only in Texas would guys with this kind of talent be involved with the 800 at any point.

Kind of a "sprinter Lydiard" approach- spend a couple of years developing stamina before adding speed.

He must be an animal.

It isnt close to Obea Moore's range.

Haven't heard that name in a while. Someone needs to start a Where's Obea? thread. I haven't seen one of those in a while.

20.x and 45.x isn't close? That's absurd. These are indoors. Give him time and good conditions outdoors. He may noy best Obea, but the times would be close

Besides that...this kid Bailey is a good prospect. Maybe a contender at world and olympic Trials in the future.

Let's not get ahead of ourselves.

While he's not close to his range, I hope he's no Obea Moore. If you peak as a sophomore in HS, that's (relatively) tragic. Bailey ran a 20.99 indoors 7 months older than Moore when he ran his 20.77 outdoors. I'm excited to see what he can do this outdoor season (although the 20.99 was at Fayetteville, so who knows how much of an improvement there will be, if any).
