I guarantee Levins makes Centro look like a little boy.

Who are you kidding? Centro is on a different level.
Agreed, but I wouldn't be surprised if Levins beats Centro. This will be Centro's first race in an event that is not his best (though he is really, really good at it). He might be pretty rusty, whereas we know Levins is sharp.
If Gebremeskel's in shape, this isn't a fair fight. Now, if Lagat was in there, it would be interesting.

Eh? He's on another level than 13:42 and 7:48 on consecutive days? Agreed that Centrowitz is on another level in the 1500, and I would not be surprised if Centrowitz can beat Levins in a 3000, but there is no way he is going to just run away from him this weekend. And Levins might take him.

Levins' boyfriend posts again!

Wait, what's Centro's 3k PR? I would expect "a different level" would involve faster PR's across the board....

7:50 in 2011, I believe.
A. I doubt they would enter him as a newly signed guy if he was not fit
B. In any kind of 3K race like in this field he drills most if he is. Unless the fractions are incredibly fast.
Centro does not deserve to be in that race.
centrowitz should win this race, but it is not a given that levins will be his top competition, dejen gebremeskal won the boston 3000 indoor last year in 7:35 and caleb ndiku ran 3:32.02 for 1500 and has run under 13:20 for 5000 as a junior.
i say
1. centrowitz 7:33.2 centro is the class of the field.
2. gebremeskal 7:35.2 could surprise levins
3. levins 7:35.8 letsrun is overrating him.
4. ndiku 7:37.4 his name will be big in track someday.
5. kiplagat 7:39.5 might win if it was a 1500 or mile.
Gebremeskel had the 4th fastest indoor 3000 in the world last year--FASTER than Lagat and Farah. Centrwitz ran 8:04 and 14-something last year. As I said before, this isn't a fair fight.
Some people must be using some of that stuff they make in Eugene.
No contest if Gebremeskel is ready.

Lol, good one.
I'm calling winning time 7:44 in a kick between two of the Africans.
gebremeskel also ran 12:55 for 5000 outdoors last year and 12:53 the year before that.
Letsrun will undoubtedly be rooting for Cam Levins, being "American born" and all.
Silas Kiplagat is a 3:29 1500m runner who has won 12km XC races in Kenya and his coach claims he can run "significantly under 28 minutes in the 10k". He's the favorite. Gebremeskel isn't going to just lay down for him though.
i am being sarcastic, in making fun of the headline, as pointing out this is absolutely not a race between centro and levins, there are other people more likely to win.

You just contradicted yourself Sir. But I love you.
Silas Kiplagat for the win!
