My high school coach's son is a mid tier D1 runner and has offered me his old Adidas spikes because he is getting the next gen thing. Is it okay for me to use these? They will be easily recognizable in meets because adidas only makes this color scheme for his school. I know I may just be paranoid but I'm trying to be safe.

I don't think he is allowed to give them out though. I think there is some NCAA thing that says you aren't allowed to give out team issued gear as gifts.
