I saw Webb eating chik-fil-a right before his race
I saw Webb doing what looked to be 1200m repeats before the race. Clocked one in 2:55. He looked agitated during this race. At one point I think I saw him stick his tongue out and yell, fall on his knees and pound the ground before getting back to his feet and resuming the race. It was quite the sight.
yeah i saw that too. this was just a wo for him. nothing to sweat.
I've heard that meet directors have been paying him to come and get beat at meets. Good publicity for the race I guess. Not sure why he went to the Patriot Games, good money I guess.
That 3:55 mile with Alberto isn't looking so bad.
This is just a training bulge for Webb, you try to work out 4 days a week and see how you feel! He's just preping for outdoor. They don't call him the comeback kid for nothing!
Why doesn't everybody saying negative crap and tearing Alan a new one lay off. Talking shit is not going to do anything but hurt his confidence. No he is not running his best right now. But he is the american record holder in the mile 3:46! I do not believe most of you pussies can even run an 800 that fast. He is in a slump making a comeback after injury coaching changes etc. Give him some time. He just needs to get that one race that gives him his confidence back. Do you know how hard it is to be a pro of his stature going to meets like the "Patriot Games" to begin with? He still has the ability i watched him in the race today while i was getting ready for my race. He just needs to break back through and be confident in himself. For gods sake show some respect! He is the American Record Holder!
