I'd guess WJR is 3:55.02 from GF at Texas A&M (Big 12)

German ran 3:55.02 as a freshman so he still has the NCAA and World Junior Records.

3.55.09 and this great runner is not on the letsrun.com video and a guy name Andy Bayer who run 3.58.23 and they thougth he's the man to beat and a few mins later a guy run 3.55.75 in BU and the videos in Flotrack and lets run are all over them? I case you guys are tired of the Kenyans Kicking some ass in the NCAA and not putting them on the videos..lol

Some of the collegiate results today are just amazing. I'm impressed. Numerous stellar performances in 800m, the mile and even the 3000m today. Very encouraging as a fan of U.S. distance running!

Exactly. And their is nothing wrong with routing for white guys, it makes things more interesting than when gebgeb kipchirchir or some other dolt wins every race.

German peaked as a freshman. No shame in being an NCAA All American. His running career ends in June and he will retire. No Olympic trials for you.

So you get bored watching Bekele win almost every race he's in?

German did NOT peak as a freshman. He simply was running well off great training from hs, and he met a man named Dave Smith at OSU. It only took that man just a little over a year to ruin 3+ years of German's career, lose a monster Nike deal, and so forth.

If you want to develop as a runner, go to the other university in the state, University of Oklahoma. There's actually a trend of their runners being successful there.

I like watching Bekele win every race. He's injured again though.

German is a poor man's Ritz. Fragile, prone to injury and cursed with a body that can't handle sustained training. No shoe company will touch him. No matter who coaches him, Fernandez will be injured at some point. He's another example of a high school phenom who couldn't take it to the next level. Is he a 5,000 meter Olympic hopeful? Does he have a OLY trials time qualifier yet? Nope.

I thought Masters what hurt? Not a bad run from him.

Except GF is much more talented. Ran way faster in HS off of much less training. Ritz was never a solo 4:00/8:34 talent.

It's a real pity how things have gone for German, hopefully he can resurrect his career like Ryan Hall.

Yeah i know there is nothing wrong routing for the white guys, but the same white guys you routing for will have "DIARRHEA" when they come face to face with Mr NCAA XC Champion LAWI LALANG....
