I heard that vegemite is like the australian version of peanut butter they love it there so much. I had a friend from Australia send me some.....you are right, its horrible.

I tried vegemite once too and could not swallow it, and I can eat almost anything. It was seriously terrible. Most everyone I know who's tried it says the same thing... makes me wonder how the hell Aussies eat it.

Not me, but this story will surely make you gag. My brother was always a jerk growing up and would steal things from me, including pops etc. Well, I was sick one time when we were on vacation, hacked up a bunch of phlegm but was in a building with no bathrooms or fountains in sight, so I spit it into the empty pop bottle I had just finished drinking. I set it down sometime later only to watch my brother snatch it and down the 2oz of spit/mucus blend in the bottom. He thought he was being his usual d!ck self stealing the last bit of my pop, but he knew as soon as he swallowed that it wasn't soda. lol. Serves him right.

Not sure what you'd find to be worse: frog legs, snails, cow tongue, deep-fried reeces, deep-fried bacon, scrapple or all the "It's not my fault" BS that Captain Zero's been feeding us for the past three years.

Actually, I thought beef tongue was quite enjoyable. I had it in Moscow at a Russian wedding. I think it is high in iron. I guess it could depend on how it is prepared.

In Laos ate something that looked like burned mucus with grass clippings & tasted a bit like what I'd think embalmed bone marrow might taste like.

That might be a treat compared to some stuff they eat in the NE part of the highlands, white cave cockaroaches which as far as I can tell are regulat brown roaches that have just moulted. I gave them a pass.

A sack of boiled snails seems common place now.

Anything my mother in law makes. Seriously guys, she's a HORRIBLE cook. When my kids were little they used to cry if we had to eat at her house.

I have eaten a number of things in Japan that most Americans would call disgusting. The raw fish testicle, thinly sliced and served sashimi style was interesting, with a butter texture, almost like foie gras. It's evidently quite a delicacy there.

Probably the worst substance I have ingested to avoid offending hosts at business meetings is coffee. I hate the stuff, it keeps me up at night, but sometimes it's better to just go with the flow.

I was at a hoidy toidy business dinner with some serious bigshots, and it was ordered as an appetizer.

I honestly thought I was going to barf it all up it was so bad. And, I was in a situation where I had to eat it. My gag reflex is starting just thinking about it.

I ate dog in china. it wasn't that bad actually, lots of gristle, but it is disgusting to think about.
