Edward Cheserek is in the elite field at the New Balance Games this Saturday. It will be a sub 4 race. Could he possibly run under 4, or is he not ready?

Ummm...Baddeley has run 3:51+. Granted, it was almost 5 years ago, but he was WAAAAAAY under.
Just off the top of my head, Craig Miller won this race last year in 3:59.10.
Actually, Baddeley has run 3:49. And I'm pretty sure the other poster was kidding - while there a few names in there I don't recognize, most of them are well-established sub-4 milers:

Thanks for the input as while I recognized some names, I could place any mile times with them. So at least the field knows what the sub 4 time feels like, but can Cheserek keep up with them?
Milne has run 3:56+
Boylan-Pett has run 3:59.40
Draper 3:56..80
Stevenson 3:56.31
Boorsma 3:59.67
McCourt hasn't, but has run 3:37+
Brewer 3:54.80
Abid has run 3:42+, and Bolas 3:37
Brosnan has run 4:00.80.
Gonzalez 4:00.84
So EVERYONE in the field, save Cheserek, has run either under (or far under 1500m), or within a second of coming under.
Cheserek will be the guy with the slowest PRs in the field .

If you've ever seen him race, he runs completely differently when he's running against guys as good or better than him than he does when he's running his county meet.
Gagnon is the rabbit. He's a 1:46 guy. The race will go 1:57 or so for the first half. Cheserek will be tucked in the back at 1:59/2:00.
Also, for comparison's sake it's important to keep in mind that most of the above personal bests being quoted are outdoor times... The vast majority of these guys (but not all) have indoor mile personal bests that are at least 3 to 5 seconds slower.

Most of these guys have gone sub-4, but are probably not in top shape right now. This is a pefect field for Cheserek, who is probably not in top shape either. I am guessing the race will be won in 3:58, which Cheserek running about 4:01.
My prediction is he is in top 5 and 3:59. Maybe even top 3.
How much is it to get a ticket for the armory?
Cheserek will not break 4:05.
4:02.xx for i believe 6th. Baddley takes it in like 3:57.2
