The training table for USATF Level II (sprints/relays) lists (averaging 60m and 90m) the time 75 meter time for 11.51 100 meter performance level as 8.88. That is a training time, without 0.24 added in.

Often, with someone sprinting from a standing start, the coach will go on first movement, which requires adding 0.6, not 0.24. If the 74 meters was from a flying start, the performance is equivalent to 12.0 100m time.

Put it together, and Rupp likely has barely the foot speed (11.5 100m/50.0 400m) necessary for a slightly sub-4 PR. The catch is that Farah has run 3:33 I believe and Bekele has run 3:32 (and I believe that was indoors). Solinsky ran 3:35 at Mt. Sac last year.

Meh, I believe Rupp ran like a 51 last 400m to out kick Wheating and barely get beat by Centro in a 1500m at his conference, senior year.
