And that's that. Tried to go for the win, blew up and DNF'ed.

Well he DNF'd the season at Oregon, so why not DNF a race too?
He's a puss
where is the proof that he DNF'd? any links to the race coverage?
LUKAS WILL LOOK LIKE HE"S 30 BEFORE HE GETS MARRIED. IF HE HAD AS MANY GUTS AS ME OR RUPP HE WOULD WIN BACK HIS DIGNITY
I was disappointed to see him give up on a running career and Oregon for the Tri. I know he's good at it but it seems his real potential is running.
Who?

I hope he didn't DNF during the swim. That wouldn't bode well for his future.

On the run. He was in 3rd at some point, but blew up.
If those reports are true and he was in 3rd before dropping out it either seems he is not strong enough for a good 10k or he just gives up if he knows he won't win. For his sake I hope he's just not strong enough yet.
godd*mn lukas
Looks like he was injured going into it

Here's a link to the results. It looks like he didn't even start the run:

Those are amazing transition times, they must have been right out of the water and short coming off the bike, that is insane. He is gifted, a hair soft upstairs, but still raw talent wise, one of the best ever.
