Wondering what kind of shoes he was wearing today.

Some kind of Nike Phylon whatever crap that costs $120....
haha, look at that thug in the car all like "yea, i could run that fast.."
It's not a shoe that's currently on the market, that's for sure. I have no idea. Could be something they cobbled together just for him, or it could be something in the works.
Some LunarSpider variant? Trafeh and Abdi were wearing em as well.
More importantly, what Sketchers was Meb wearing. I don't think it was the one that trains your "baby's got back" behind.
What was James Carney wearing?
That photo is worth a lot. Ritz is clearly overstriding. Dang it Ritz.

Yeah, but his thumbs look great.
which asics racer does hall wear for marathons?
Good one. But come to think of it, with his recent achilles issue just clearing up, it's natural to load the tendon as little as possible on foot contact. But dang...that's costing momentum in the final miles.

Ritz not overstriding, bronze medalist, World Half Marathon Championship. Second photo in the top row.
Too bad you can't tell wether or not your over striding just from looking at one pic of them in full flight phase. It's also too bad you didn't look at the pics before and immediately after where, if you look closely, you'll see a nice big over stride. There's also the dozens of other pics from this race that show ritz over striding very clearly, not to mention this pic is on a downhill portion so it's not showing their natural stride

Why can't we buy the cool looking ones? The shoe colors/stripes/zigzags Nike makes available look like dump. Definitely turns me away from their products.
1) ritz is not overstriding in that pic
2) they are running uphill anyways.
Yeah, I know, but I didn't want to write all of that. I was hoping you'd see the both the good strides and the bad strides and the slope changes, and write it for me. Good strides help, bad strides hinder. I'm betting he was making a lot of good strides in that Zurich 10K when he was reeling in Bekele.

They are the London Racer, a new shoe with a knit mesh upper.Midsole material is Lunarlite, same material used in the Lunar Spider. They will be available to the public in late summer/early fall.
this is correct. the arch was brutal on me, i hope they've fixed that particular issue.
