Let the kid have 15 minutes of fame. Who ever heard of this school or that kid? He was excited as he should've been. He never "showboated." He looked to me like a kid celebrating a new personal best and a NCAA D3 national leading time. He walked over to Webb after the race but Webb refused to shake his hand until about 30 minutes after the race was over. Good for him to win this race. It is something he can tell his grandkids some day.

there are runners in college who are MUCH MUCH worse. not everyone takes running that seriously. even D1 athletes sometimes complete an 8K in 35mins. it happens...

matt v. is a really good guy and he deserves to be happy about a great race. any of you wuild love to have him as a teammate.
