This is very exciting, but I don't understand the comment about how it will be faster than people expect and it won't be run like a championship; wouldn't the fastest race BE a foot race to the finish to secure a spot?

Championship generally means tactical and letting it go until the end.

Yes and Kyle was suppose to lead Sell and keep the pace honest 4 years ago. It was honest and "the plan" did nothing as Sell stayed back and played "pick off", and ended up 3rd. It's just pre-race hype and the OP is probably full of crap and just looking for attention. Yeah, I know someone too, so what?

Rupp has never run one, so anything would be a pr, IF he actually does.

Dathan could pr, but would not say he is expecting a massive PR. At this point he would be thrilled to make the team.

re: "fastest on American soil" - in terms of depth, we could see close to a dozen athletes at 2:12 or better.

Who are these 4 other athletes that know what it's like to run 2:10? Who are their coaches that have coached other sub 2:10 athletes? Were any of these in a championship or qualifier race?

yeah, ok. close to a dozen marathoners will pr on the same day just because it's the trials. i guarantee there won't be a dozen athletes at 2:12 or better but it's good to see that the medical marijuana is working for you. care to list them? i will check in next saturday and then you will claim, "i didn't say that, someone else told me", right?

There is no way in hell a dozen guys go sub-2:12. If this happens I hearby vow that I will never post on LetsRun ever again.
