I was just informed by a european collegue that Bekele will attempt a wr for the 10k at: Ostrava
He's on the list of entries, but no one has commented on it. I figure he can go under 26:22 probably 26:15 or less on a good day. Any guesses out there?

If we assume Bekele is highly aerobically conditioned, and surely that is the case, then we can say add about 10 seconds per mile (maybe less??) to his 5k pace, this is also assuming he has some help thru 5k or 6k, so I say if conditions are good and things go right he can run right around 26:15.
Anyone see a men's 800 meters on the schedule? I thought Webb was running that at this meet. Must be mistaken.
no, webb should be ion the 15. the 8 is in spain. i'm going to guess 26.19 on the 10k for young bekele.
Ah Thanks..
26:17.27 for Kenenisa Bekele and the new World Record holder for 5000 and 10,000 meters to officially conclude the changing of the guard. Geb can do nothing but watch in awe, as we will.
26:21.27
26:24
26:16.29
26:20
25:58
I honestly think this man can run 2 sub 13 5ks in a row.
i want is Vipam's prediction you can take it to the bank
26:30 ... No WR this time around.
I think he will shoot up with a lot of EPO in the coming days and run 26:08.
26:18.....by the way Webb is doing Seville 800m on June 5th and then Ostrava 1500 on June 8th
Who in the hell is going to pace him?
Thanks for the vote of confidence; however, I am awaiting some information from a friend of mine concerning Kenenisa. I do know this if the weather is good and pacers take him thru at least 6000m on his scheduled pace he will hold that and possibly negative spilt even a super fast pace. So if your prediction is around 26:18-26:21 you are wrong!
Vipam
Probably a European for 1500-2000m and then one or two Ethiopians/Kenyans through 6000m. I'd be suprised if any rabbits hang on to 8k.
This week's Athletics Weekly in the UK has a report about Bekele's 5k and mentions a training session where Bekele, Geb and Sihine ran 20 laps at altitude and passed 5k in 13:15!
Anyone know any more about this? Sounds too quick! This would be 26:30 for 10k at altitude!
Ill say 26:25. He will have the record by the end of the year, but I dont really think he'll get it this week. Wouldn't be suprsised to see anything from 26:15 t 26:30 though.
