What's the the most annoying thing you see on people trying to look like "real" runners: Compression socks, hydration belts, or KT Tape? For years I've thought the belts were it, but lately I've seen an outbreak of KT Tape that was clearly used without consulting the instructions or given a thought about how it works. I think it's the new "badge of honor."

i'm guessing a common answer is going to be running with an ipod. i love to run with music. (waits to get hated on)
but then again, by lets run standards - i'm probably a hobbyjogger.

I'm the exact same way. I can either enjoy the run by itself, which is indeed quite good on its own, or I can add music to it and make the experience even more enjoyable.
On harder days though I typically go sans music so I can give full focus to the running itself. Never music in races.

I'm going to say their running partner(s). One all decked out with all the unecessary accessories is too much but when they start travelling in packs it's just too much.

I don't get why compression socks OR hydration belts would annoy you? Compression socks are great for long runs (and are worn by elites) and as for hydration belts, have you ever done a 20 miler in the summer? How are you supposed to drink water if you don't carry it? Not everyone likes hand-helds.
The only thing that I don't get is when runners wear their fuel belts during a race, even in a marathon. Doesn't make any sense.
I don't care what other people wear. I just enjoy my running and let others do the same.
Seriously, I would like that to be my attitude, but I just can't see someone in a pair of Vibrams or similar footwear without thinking they are a toolbox. That's not so much a hobbyjogger thing though - I don't think I could keep from laughing if I saw Kenenisa Bekele in a pair of them.

The most annoying thing about runners is amateur runners who think they are cool and post messages like this on letsrun:)

I have nothing against the "hobby jogger." As surely somebody will soon point out, unless we're making a living off our running, we're all hobby joggers. How folks gear up or outfit themselves is their own business, even if I sometimes think they look ridiculous.
But the trend in recent years to hand out medals to everybody for simply completing a half annoys me, and the folks wearing them around for days afterwards compounds it.
The hobby-triathlete's MDot tatoo ranks right up there too.
