According to Julia's fantasy football blog, Alan will race on January 5.
godspeed, alan webb.

I hope you're a friend or acquaintance of the couple, because I don't understand how you would find a 3-day-old blog.
A. Webb in 4 fantasy football leagues. Not an auspicious start.

a post about a pro runner on a running message board...and your reaction is to lash out? What does that say about your instincts?
Not sure how I saw the blog first - probably because I am a fan of professional running and at lunch I read about the sport.
Be kind, work hard and great things will happen
January 5th?? There aren't any races on THURSDAY, January 5th, as far as I know. There is a race on 1/6 at the Armory, and also at Arkansas and TAMU on the same day. Nothing at UVA or GMU on that day.
The 1/5 day came from the guy at Track Focus. Julia said early-mid January.
it originally said jan 5, but she since edited it. it also said "constellation bracket" instead of consolation bracket.

Didn't really lash out, I just had no clue how somebody not personally familiar with the Webbs would find the blog so quick. it's only a matter of time until the Webb's blog gets overrun by fanboys and haters. If there's any misinterpretation of my handle, "crazy person" is my registered name.
Track Alerts did have a short release on the race date, which is linked in the comments section of the blog.
My bad, that's Track Focus, not Track Alerts.

i don't like agree with crazy person's post, just because it will probably be true, but let's hope the idiots out there don't run Julia and Alan from sharing all of their families news.

Let's hope the idiots who are creepy enough to want the Webbs to share all about their family with strangers get derailed by the fanboys' obnoxiousness and the blog shuts down before Webb's fragile psyche gets any more fried by self-consciously writing about it.
Well now that his wife has blog Webb fans and detractors don't have to rely on merely rumors we see frequently on this site. It is probably why the Webb’s created the site to begin with.
Wordpress is a pretty interesting technology. Once a website like that would take hours or days to complete. Now all you have to do is have a wordpress account and simply upload content to the site. They even provide a discussion board, which would require hours of php programming.
So the blog RunTeamWebb is his wife blogging about fantasy football?
I hate this sport.
Alan Webb was my hero, his book was fantastic!
I love the guy's description of fantasy football: "This isn’t a joke."
What a joke.
pissing away his chance while the clock ticks
I will be running the Wendy's Invitational Classic competing in the 4 x baconator with German, Julia, and Rupp! Thanks for all your kind support and Happy Holidays!
Did anybody see this quote from the first blog post?
"So unfortunately for all the people curious about Alan’s fitness, race plans and how many times he’s been to Five Guys the last month (zero actually- what a shocker!) . . ."
Looks like she has a sense of humor.
Julia needs an editor or at least to take an introductory course to writing at a local community college. I tend to take a fairly lenient stance on technical details when it comes to blogging, but if you are a fairly high-profile individual whose writing will be read by your (or your husband's) fans (and enemies), you probably want to write at a college level.
The Webb family needs to view any blog they keep as being both a PR opportunity and potential nightmare.
Why does an Alan Webb thread bring out such negative energy? Grammar police sounds like a real a**hole to me.
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
